Former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov brought a light-hearted touch to Paris Saint-Germain's (PSG) remarkable 5-0 win against Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League final, which took place at the Allianz Arena in Munich on Sunday. Present at the stadium to witness the match, Khabib celebrated with the PSG team on the pitch following their victory. While proudly holding the Champions League trophy alongside PSG's coach Luis Enrique, Khabib playfully teased him.
He jokingly encouraged Enrique, saying, "Come on, one... two... three... Hala Madrid," referencing the well-known chant of Real Madrid. Enrique, who has a strong affiliation with Barcelona, simply laughed and replied, "No, hahaha."
Luis Enrique has a significant history with Barcelona, having played for the club from 1996 to 2004 and later managing it from 2014 to 2017. Under his guidance, Barcelona achieved a treble in the 2014–15 season, which included winning the Champions League. In 2019, he stepped down from his position as Spain's national team coach to care for his daughter Xana, who was fighting bone cancer. Sadly, Xana passed away at the young age of nine, and Enrique's return to football and ongoing success are viewed as a testament to his strength and character.
Following the playful banter, Khabib genuinely congratulated Enrique, stating, "Congratulations, great game," while shaking his hand. Khabib was not the only fighter present; UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev also joined in the celebrations, witnessing this historic victory.
